From: President, CSC Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2007 To: Community Soccer Club Members Subject: Community Soccer Club eLetter No 2 Spring 2007 To all CSC members and friends, This Saturday is opening day for our Spring 2007 season. All players should have received calls from their coaches by now and, except for the Kindergarten groups, all should have at least one practice session before Saturday. The weather has been horrible but I just checked the forecast and this weekend is supposed to be pretty nice. Let's hope! There are a few items you should be aware of. Please note the following if it applies to you: For Grade 3 & 4, we will be playing 8 v 8 even though the roster and schedule says 9 v 9. Kindergarten coaches, please come up to the building 20 minutes before your scheduled time on Saturday. We have signs for you to take out to the field so your players can find you based on team letter. And don't forget, all Kindergarten groups will meet on Field 15 at the beginning of their sessions on April 21 and 28 for a brief presentation. We have 881 kids registered this Spring--more than ever before. Parking is going to be a problem, so I am asking all teams who are playing on Fields 5, 11, 13, 14, and 15 to please park in the WEST lot. Plain Township Parks Department will be checking the lots for illegally parked cars and has told us they will have them towed if necessary. Those of you that need shirts please come up to the building 30 minutes before your game time to purchase one. Price remains at $15.00. The arrangement of the fields has changed from last season. Fields 1 & 2 are over near the barn. Field 9 is behind the bulding next to the bocce ball courts. And Fields 13, 14, and 15 (the Kindergarten fields) are between the road to the oil well and Field 7. The field map on the website will be changed to show this but that may not happen until later in the week. I still have to work my day job. One final reminder: for the safety and health of all participants there is no smoking allowed on the fields. Also, the Parks Department does not allow any pets on the fields. Please abide by these regulations. To those of you who are new to Community Soccer, welcome! And for the returning members, we are glad to have you back. I hope our Spring season will be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for kids and parents alike.
